How To Trade on Rialto
Rialto is a trading platform for buying and selling tokens onchain. Choose what you want to trade, enter an amount, and review the quote before confirming.
Open the Rialto app. You can sign in with a social account and use a ZeroDev embedded wallet, or connect an existing EVM-compatible wallet (such as Rabby, Metamask or Phantom). The embedded wallet lets you trade within Rialto without setting up a separate wallet first.
To buy, choose the token you want to receive and the amount you want to spend. To sell, choose the token you hold and how much you want to trade. Before placing the trade, make sure your trading wallet has enough funds to cover it.
Review the expected output, minimum received, and fees. These answer different questions: what the current quote offers, the lowest output you will accept, and what the trade costs. Rialto routes the trade across its supported liquidity sources and settles it onchain.
The minimum received comes from your slippage setting. Suppose an illustrative quote offers 100 tokens and allows 0.5% slippage. A minimum of 99.5 tokens would mean the trade must deliver at least that amount or revert. Check the app’s displayed minimum for your actual trade.
Review your slippage tolerance before confirming. A lower tolerance leaves less room for price movement; a higher tolerance accepts a larger difference from the quote. If a trade fails, review the quote and settings before deciding whether to change them.
Gas and approval requirements depend on your wallet and how the trade is executed. Check the fees and required steps shown in the app. Where gasless execution is available, an initial token approval may still require a separate transaction and gas.
Follow the approval and confirmation prompts for your embedded or connected wallet. Wait for confirmation before treating the trade as complete. If the transaction reverts, the trade does not settle, although any network fee you paid for that transaction is not recovered.
